Constantin
A thick silver wire undulates around the finger, twisting. The gaze revolves around this infinite form, the hand moves the ring around the finger slowly and discovers at each moment a unique curve that does not resemble the next one. It is a supple and captivating wave that slips between the fingers.
It is called Constantin as a nod to the Endless Column of
Brâncuși, Romanian artist born in 1876, father of modern sculpture whose modeling work makes you want to walk around his pieces, touch them. Their softness and brightness act like a magnet.
I like to imagine this ring in the hands of Brâncuși sculpting one of its endless columns.
This ring is made by hand in my workshop.
